So... let me get this straight. A 10 year old boy, unmonitored by his parents, somehow got in contact with a complete stranger through the XBOX Live, and then took 40 pictures of himself naked and sent them over? Wow, and Parent of the Year goes to...

I hope this sick bastard gets whats coming to him. Granted, the parents should have never left their child unattended playing on Xbox Live, but still, the guy also knew better himself, or should have.

the guy was from "Polk City" wow.

These people(especially this guy) are sick and need to be in jail. There is no way to try to flip this story. People that are blaming the kid/parents are basically denying any wrong doing with this guy aka defend him and are in the same boat.

It is like kids get stupider each year. I bet microsoft will eventually add a feature in which when a account is created, if the user is under a certain age, they have to enter a special password or a email is sent to a parent for confirmation before any images are sent.

for the people that try to get child porn, put them in jail and fine them for expenses due to them being in prison. Our tax money should not go to keep criminals fed and healthy.

I don't want to downplay this man's actions, but when people do things like this and actually believe they'll get away with it, you gotta wonder if they aren't legitimately, mentally handicapped.

Absolutely messed up, child pornography is for sick bastards. Scum of the earth in my opinion. Good that this guy was caught, but seriously what is this kid even doing on Xbox live at the age of 10? shouldn't he be outside riding around and playing sport with his mates? thats what i was doing at 10, not sitting on a online service completely free from parental supervision.

I agree that the parents share a large responsibility, with ANYTHING their child does... They can't however teach their child to be more intelligent -- perhaps a little -- or correct every single bad habit they have. The child could have hopped on their older siblings xbox 360 in the middle of the night, who knows... I do know for sure that it's unlikely any 10 year old would want their parents to know about them taking nude pictures of themselves, let alone sending them over the internet. I'm certain that part was done in secret, and perhaps it was the parents who busted the criminals and got the police on the culprit in the end.

Though regardless of responsibility, we all know the real bad guy here is the dude with the child porn.

Dumb people need to quit multiplying. Really. First of all, the criminal. Don't you have to pay for XBL service by credit card? D'oh! Secondly, the victim. If you're going to let your children play online, don't you think you should be smart enough to use parental controls? Nice parenting job (sarcasm).

And no one here finds it odd that the kid pretty much sold pictures of himself for xbox points? Last time I checked, the creation and distribution of child pornography is an offense even if it is of oneself (previous cases like this DO punish children for self-distribution).

growing up in my parents house our nes playing was monitored. then when the age of personal pc's hit ours were always in the family room under their watchful eye. that was when 14.4 was the fastest connection. my point is this there are predotars everywhere, you take your kids to the park you watch them. when your kids are playing in an environment that is online you watch them. get the game systems and the pc's out of their room and put them in a general living space until they are old enough to have them in their own room.

You have got to be kidding.. I was smart enough by the age of 10 that if I wanted to be part of a group in some game I wouldn't be required to send naked photos of myself.. come on.. about as pathetic as it can get for peoples sexual motivation, really.

The parents should have never breed in the first play..
I'm one of the guys who agree, that breeding should be controlled like china. and only those who seem fit to breed should be allow to breed.
