Many tv's linked to one pc or server

Have you ever been to a shopping center and the have those screens with advisement and information?
I would like to know how it's done but smaller like a few tv's. Does any one know how? or a website with instructions and equipment needed. Also is there software that can be used to edit screens of an individual tv?
