marantz sr 5010 not connecting to sub

Setting up a new home theater system. Trying to get the sub recognized by the marantz av system! Any ideas? Any suggestions? Any help is a God send,getting to my last, last nerve with this setup!? Help please.

If your sub is not being detecting with the mic then go into the speaker set up menu and set the subwoofer to on or yes.
