Hey y'all

I'm having a little issue with my BluRay drive (Internal).
For a while, the BIOS wouldn't detect the drive. I checked for dust etc in the ports and when I reconnected the drive it was detected again. However, when I insert a disc, the drive becomes idle, almost as though it has disconnected itself. Any programs involving the drive hang for about five minutes before the drive suddenly begins to work again. Does anyone have any insight into this issue? Feel free to ask for any further information you might need.

Hi,

Try this firmware update first from Sony. http://esupport.sony.com/swu/8497/US/EN/. If this doesn't work you it maybe time to replace your BlueRay drive because most of the time based from what you're experiencing with it specially in BIOS as well it should be a hardware problem already.
