Maximum HMDI v1.4 length before signal quality degrades

I'm wiring an addition and would like to install HMDI in the wall. What is the maximum length that can be used without signal degradation for HMDI 1.4?

50 feet and under is considered "safe", when you get longer you may begin to notice degradation without an amplifier.
