Media Player for upstairs

So downstairs the wife and I have a WDTV that we use to stream from our network drive as well as use netflix. We watch a lot of downloaded movies that are on my network drive. My question is what is the best budget one for upstairs?

The WDTV was $100 and I don't want to spend that again. I seen the WD PLAY thing but it does have some shitty reviews. I'm basically looking for something that does both Netflix / Youtube and as well as personal files OVER THE NETWORK not microSD or USB.

Try one of the Android HDMI dongles or the Google one if that one ever becomes available again.
