Memory card problems

i have put a 4gb san disk memory card into my samsung digimax202 camera, and when i turn it on the samsung logo appears on the lcd screen as it should, but then nothing works, the logo display on the screen freezes, and all the buttons, including the on/off button don,t work. the only way to turn it off, is to take the batteries out. when i put the old 128mb kodak card in it works fine. any ideas. thanks

It sounds like your camera and the 4GB card are incompatible. It is very likely that your camera cannot read the file system that the 4GB card uses. A 1GB card is probably the largest you could use with your camera.
