I own a X55U SX052H (the one with E2-1800 apu) which badly needed a memory upgrade and like an idiot I bought a 8gb DDR3-1333 module without researching further (crucial's website had an identical 8gb module, and it was listed as supported for X55U) for a laptop that supports max. 4gb ram. At first everything's okay (the notebook boots, system recognizes the ram, os runs smoothly) but after around 7 minutes, everything crumbles to the ground (most of the times the system hangs, but if I dare to open something like google chrome it crashes). Now, I don't need you guys to tell me I'm an idiot or I should've researched better, I just wanna know if there's some way make it work (I loved those seven minutes). Any suggestions before I contact the store?

Hmm, so there's no workaround, but I can live with that.
