Microphone for dell laptop E6250 windows7

I have a Dell Latitude E6250 64 bit Windows 7
I just installed Skype
I suspect that there is no internal microphone in my computer - is that correct?
Where do I find the location to insert an external microphone?
Will any type of microphone work?

Your Latitude has a built in array microphone. It's usually located around the screen, usually near the camera. It'll just be a tiny pin-hole in the plastic.

Your external microphone jack is located on the left side next to the VGA port. It looks like that single plug integrates the mic/headphone/speakers into the one jack.

Any external microphone with a 3.5 mm jack should work.
