Microphone isn't working

So I've had my computer that I've put together for about one month and it has been running great. It's fast, looks great, and is just awesome. A few days ago, I left my computer on overnight. When I woke up, the mic will not work unless I speak loudly (When I mean speaking loudly, I mean putting it right in front of my mouth and yelling). I just got some Razer Krakens hoping it'd fix, but no. It did not I have Realtek High Definition Audio, my mic boost is turned off, and my mic sensitivity is maxed out. Any ways on what I can do and how I can fix it?

- Plugged into the front jacks
- Case is an NZXT Phantom
- Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z97M-D3H

I try to stay away from the mic boost. Everything I hear plays through my mic if it's on. If I max it out, it makes no difference.
