So recently i bought a standalone microphone brand as Boya BY-LM10 for gaming purpose.
The microphone i bought is said to work with iphone/ipad however i think it will works fine with my pc as the earphone normally does.
I tested that the microphone work normally with my iphone however when i plug in my pc, it does not receive any signal. I tried all of the option like "listen to this device" or "max boosting" still yield no results.
Do i have to buy some kind of connector/splitter for my microphone?
Edit: My microphone use audio jack, my pc have 1 jack for microphone and 1 for audio

Solution
If your microphone isn't working, try the following...

1. Go to "Control Panel".
2. Click on "Sound".
3. Click the "Recording" tab.
4. Click on the device you are trying to fix.
5. Now click the "Configure" button and then click "Set up Microphone".
6. Once that is complete, click the "Properties" button.
7. When you are done with your changes, in "Properties", click "Apply" and then "OK".
8. Then click "OK", again, on the main "Sound window".
