By your standard, the elderly should not be allowed to be married either, since they too are incapable of reproducing. In fact, anyone that is rendered sterile (testicular cancer patients, for example) should not be allowed to get married according to your argument.

You might feel differently if you were not legally able to visit the person you love most when they are hospitalized. You might feel differently if the person you love most died and the benefits that were paid for legally go back to the state instead of to you, the survivor. You might feel differently if you were a law-abiding citizen that pays almost twice as much in taxes because you and the person you love most must file separate tax returns.

What a difference a piece of paper makes.

Somewhat of a weak argument in my opinion, but I'm sure discrimination does hurt Microsoft's ability in some ways.
