Minimum PSU for GPU

I may soon purchase a GTX 950 for bit of gaming, but right now my super cheap computer currently has a 500w PSU, not sure if it is enough to handle it. Any tips?

Any decent 500w should be able to handle a 950 , what make and model is it?

The 950's Power specs are on nVidia's website.
As long as your PSU has at least one 6pin pcie power connector, you should be fine.

EVGA 500 W1 80+, 500W Continuous Power, 3 Year Warranty Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR is my current PSU. Bought from amazon here http/amzn.com/B00H33SFJU

Not the greatest in terms of quality , but can easily handle the 950 in your setup.

Thanks, I had to cut corners for the cost a bit, its been working fine for around 8 months now Time to lock this thread

I understand , it will have no issues running your GTX 950.
