Missing windows file in hdd and using the same account

Hi i have an old asus laptop with windows XP that has a dead gPU so i used the hdd as an external drive to save all the photos and videos in there and also some games i was planning to buy a new mobo but I accidentally delete the windows folder in that drive

So i want to ask if i install windows using the same drive and install xp but keep files without format can I still use the log in account i had previously or it will fresh install it?

No you can't use the same account, once you re-install Windows, it's a new account even if you name it the same. No issues with copying your backup files over to the new account though.
