mobile is not charging properl

my phone was switched off but it ws charging. after 6 hours when it was completely charged i turned it on. it turned off after a few seconds. when i switched it on after multiple attempts, it was discharged to 0 %. i put it on charging again and after 8 hours it was just 54 % charged.i used it for 5 hours, it discharged, i put on charging and slept. when i woke up next day it was discharged with 0% battery. i charged again. when it was 62 % i switched off mobile. when i switched on again, it was displaying 32 % battery. my mobile charging port is defective but i have been charging my mobile with this port for 2 weeks and had no issues. i have recently purchased a new battery. please help me and tell me what needs repairing. plz plz help

This may be covered in your manufacturers warranty, if not i don't recommend trying to repair it yourself, leave it to an expert.

sounds like maybe your new battery is bad.
