Mobile Weather URL's

Just got the following two noaa mobile devices urls

http://mobile.srh.noaa.gov

http://mobile.srh.weather.gov

These url's they are valuable for travelers as they use a good
navigation tree to find the local radar and stat images without going
through the noaa desktop interface.

While the "loops" use java which makes them inaccessable on a default
PocketPC, they _have_ added a "sequence" button which allows ppc users
to "step" through radar image intervals to see the motion of a storm...
this is a big step forward.

FYI the loops work fine on my 4150 using the default PIE, although the
loop images don't appear until I click start.

Thanks... that's valuable information... they don't work in 2002.

If any of your old pals ask, please don't tell them that until we get
the "step sequence" worked out... I have a contact with the author.

To clarify, my approach is going to be to try for a solution that will
work with older ppc's as well as 2003 which apparently has more java
guts, so want to avoid the concept that it's now "fixed" which will
leave all of the 2002 and 2000 users out in the rain.

Had a good conversation with the person responsible for generating these
new sites this morning and he is completely open to any PPC input that
we may have that will not negatively impact the current users.

Currently noaa has "issued" Treo300's to field personnel and they are
the current test and proof platform for these pages, so, his primary
concern is if meeting ppc needs will lessen the usability of the Treo's

Bev,

Any chance you can sweet talk the developer to add either or both of the Tropical Prediction
Center/National Hurricane Center formatted pages at...
