Monitor speaker platforms for tripod stands

Does anyone know where or how to aquire just the platform part of monitor speaker stands? I bought some tripod speaker stands that did not include the platforms to set the speaker on. Any help would be appreciated

Then again, is a flat piece of something right? Shouldn't stop somebody with tools and carpentry skills.
