I still have to write up my report on that day. :) But back to
question posed... a C= con/expo in Astoria every spring?
I think everything came together this time because of good fortune. I
had decided that during my spring break I had to take care of matters in the
Pacific Northwest (my summertime travels had already been planned). I knew
that I had to get up to Ray Carlsen's place in Ethel, Washington in order to
pick up repaired C= equipment and to leave more equipment to be repaired. I
knew that I'd be passing by Jeri Ellsworth's house. I knew that I had to pick
up the C= equipment of the disbanded Commodore Users Association in Medford,
Oregon.
I have to give credit to Rick "Wildstar" Balkins; if it weren't for him
telling me, I wouldn't have known that Scott "Fungus", Jeremy "Destine", and
Leo "KilrPilr" were coming down from Washington and British Columbia during the
time of my spring break. If it weren't for Rick being the go-between and
keeping us informed when to meet, I wouldn't made it to Astoria at the right
time. When March 23 was decided as the day to meet, all I had to do was
rearrange my other days in which to run my errands.
Fortune smiled upon us. Jeri was at her house when I visited. After I
told her what was going on, she too wanted to be part of the Astoria event.
Back to the question... a C= con/expo in Astoria every spring? If it
can be planned again, if everybody's schedules can come together, if it happens
again during my spring break, I'd like to come to another MossyCon. :)

Truly,

We'll have to see.

It would be an interesting concept to look into. Most "planned" con/expos
would have a higher expense factor. This gathering was just a matter of
luck, coincidence of timing and a little bit of work getting the timing and
schedule together for everyone.

Absolutely cool but future C= con/expos that are planned and scheduled would
require a bit more work set well in advance.

Absolutely.

When I heard from KilrPilr of his plans coming towards this area. I thought
it would be cool to have everyone show up at the same time (aprox.). This
would give everyone a little bit of time to have fun and discussing various
C= topics. The coincidence of timing were within the window of timing and
with good fortune - we were able to put this event together and for everyone
to have a good time.

This was quite a suprise.
