I just picked up a USB data/charging cable for my Motorola T720C.I
cannot get the phone to be recognized. The PC just pops up and it
says it's an unrecognized device. I tried DataPilot 3.7 and Motorola
Tools 1.2. I even downloaded the driver from the Motorola site. The
phone is never recognized. I connect my wife's Motorola v120 and it
is instantly recognized. I'm runing XP Home. I've never set up a
wireless phone as a modem, but I'm very familiar with computers and
modems. From everything I've read, the same cable should work for
both these phones. Do these have a smart chip in the cable? I was
going to try the Radio Shack cable, but I hate to spend another $25 if
it won't fix the problem. I know some of these imports sometimes have
problems and sometimes 'almost work'.

tnx........

Would you be willing to spend the $25 at Radio Shack if it solved your
problem? Most people avoid RS becuase of their high prices. However, one
good thing about RS is their liberal return policy. If it doesn't work, just
take it back for a full refund.
