Movies running slowly in mobile

When i run any movies in my mobile "moto g2", the movie is running very slowly as when we do forward in dvd a bit faster. I thought it might a problem in my "MX player" and tried in other players. But it dint work. Help me with it.

Are they HD movies? Streamed or local? Did you try different formats of movies? Are you playing off an SD card? If you are it may be a slow one, try a faster Class 10 card and also copy the movie to internal phone memory and see how it runs then.
