Solved! Moving dish reciver to another town

I have been taking my dish receiver locally to Athens GA for football games with no issue. I took it to Jacksonville FL last week and was not able to connect to the local Jacksonville channels or the local Atlanta channels. Is there a special subscription that I need or is it different satellite?

This would be something you asked your provider about.

You generally need to connect to different satellites / transponders in order to get the local channels. My local channel 36 is most probably not your local channel 36.
