last thing i have to say
the biggest problem with the current piracy fighting model is they target the "user" not the "dealers"
these companies are making the "addicts" pay for teh crimes of teh The "Dealer"
even in drug laws the user is given a much mess severe sentence than teh pusher/dealer is
same case when dealing with illegal fire arms
a person purchasing an illegal gun (fuly auto) is charged less then persay when the cops bust some one selling the illeagal arms
in the case of piracy though every thign thrown upside down ..
1. they don't even really try to find "the dealers"
2. they overfine the user to make up for point 1
what i think shoudl ahppeneto this model of piracy waring is
1. require that all torents register and obtain alicense to rumn a torrent or peer to peer service ,
2. require those licensed toreent guys to filther and delete illeagal entries on thier torrent
3. raise the punishment for those caught distributing illegal digital goods
4. lower the punishmnet for those that are busted downloading said goods
this would avhe teh affect of pelasing the general masses , while at teh same time putting the "dealers" in fear of being busted because right now teh "dealers" are laughing their asses off at teh expense of the companies and the people that download thier illegal goods
