MS Office: Basic vs Home/Student

The only difference I have been able to find regarding these two packages is that Home/Student comes with a program called OneNote.

I only want Word, Excel and Outlook. Are their any other differences I don't know about? It seems basic is a little cheaper. I am inclined to get that unless there is something else I would be missing out on.

Try a program out there called Open Office. It is compatible with MS Office, and will even read the new MS Office file formats.

openoffice.org

And it's free. For the outlook part, maybe try thunderbird for an email app.
