Both systems have the follwoing same components:
Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ 2.4 - 3.4GHz, Intel® HM87, 17.3" Full HD Matte LED, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M 3GB, Windows 8 64-bit
with the following component differences:
MSI
24GB DDR3, 2x 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, BD Burner
ASUS
16GB DDR3, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, DWD±RW
They are pretty comparable in price, ASUS being about $100 more. I've heard good things about both and overall I like the MSI but I've read of 1 major issue that I was hoping to get some first-hand response on: the MSI runs hotter than the ASUS.
I'm a gamer but I don't upgrade as often as some people. I'm looking for a system that will last and heat is a killer. Can anyone provide some insight on the cooling prowess of either (or both) systems? Maybe even if the MSI is a better system in spite of the cooling? Thanks for any info.
