Both laptops are for 2 different markets. The asus is an dtr which is designed to stay on your desk and never move as it weighs a lot. But the performance is better than the msi as it has better cooling.
But if you want the portability the msi wins. If you can live with playing games at a reduced settings to save on the battery lifespan or you could get a laptop cooler to do that as well, then the msi is for you. in terms of pricing I think the asus will cost more but not by much.
Its the decision most gamers are faced with, power or portability. The choice is up to you
