Hi guys,

I have a Sony Viao Duo 2 Core circa 2008/9 (VGN-AW125J). Besides the fact that it has one down usb port it is in great working order. It's guts are obsolete though. 4gb ram, dinosaur graphics. I love the 18.3" Trubrite, and all else is in working order. It has 2 Ethernet jacks, an hdmi, one usb, one usb 3.0 and maybe some way to open the back for more ports. I don't know.

I can't afford a high end gaming laptop computer. I'm bed bound a lot of the time from a L3-S1 torn totally up back, so I could put a much cheaper and more powerful desktop on a table. Is there any way to run the laptop from my bed and hook it up to a desktop on a table so I can continue to play good video games using the Sony as a screen, keyboard and mouse and the desk top to run the system?

Gaming's means so much to me, thought guys smarter than me could have some insight.

Thank you so much for any help.

Richard

I "fixed" it. I bought a loaded Alienware 18m. To keep it simple, it scores a 7.8 out of 7.9 on microsoft's awesome scale, lol. Boots up in 6 secs and plays everything on max. Whooppee!!! (from my bed.)

Using WiDi (Wireless Display), with a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard you might be able to pull off what you want.

A desktop with WiDi would be sweeet for so many reasons I'm surprised HP aren't selling one already.

Maybe there is an ultra thin monitor, and mount that and a keyboard to a lapdesk, but then your budget goes up and might as well get an alienware. I used to run 5 miles a day. This sucks. :-/
