My 2.1 sound system only plays sound from the right channel??

I have a Z313 sound system from Logitech and my two stereo speakers connect to the subwoofer which then connects to the computer through a single audio jack. Realtek HD audio manager has no 2.1 option. When sound does come out, it only plays when on the right speaker channel.

Is this a new problem? Have both channels and subwoofer played on that same computer in the past? Do other audio devices play properly on that PC and does that speaker set work connected to another source?

It is a new speaker system. I have used a headset before and it has always worked on this computer.

Make sure the audio plugs are firmly and completely inserted and try it from a different source (even a phone). Try to determine whether the problem is the speakers, or the PC.

I just tested it on my phone and all sound comes out of the right speaker...

Are there volume controls anywhere on this speaker set? Is it possible the "balance" is set all the way to the right speaker or there's a knob muting the left hand side?

I have already tried that and many other things after searching the internet for a long while.

Well it sounds like it may be a faulty speaker set. Can the item be returned, or if not is it in the warranty period from Logitech?
