My 2gb micro sd card showing 40 mb space after formating

after formatting ma 2gb micro memmory,its showing only 40 mb space.before i did something encrypting or somthing..may be it may becoz of that...pls giv me one solution for this

You need to post exactly what this "something" you did was. Or you can just start over, wipe the card and format it again.
