my Aiwa Cassette Deck on my home theater NSX-MT920 does not work it reads the cassette but does nothing else can someone help me repair this?

I have the same problem only it's an Aiwa NSX-V8080. Does anyone know where the tape monitor switch is located. I got this from a friend who had it in dry storage for a couple of years.
