my asus laptop model x205t the screen isn't fully black but is really dark

i need help like the screen is on but its way to dim thats the only thing wrong with it
is there some way I can fix this

Maybe the inverter or the backlight. Inverter is cheaper, start with replacing that. This is on wall power as well as battery? Did you check to make sure you just don't have brightness turned down?
