My asus m56jr-mh71 wont turn on. Black screen.

Just all of a sudden mny laptop wont turn on or just displays a black screen. Everything worked fine the other day when I last used it.

Its only 1. 5 years old and not used that often. Not a gamer and not a heavy work loadpn it. Mainly use it for uploading pictures flash drives and light web surfing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Right now it only displays a black screen.
When you push the power button it lights a white LED below the mouse pad at the light bulb symbol.. If I plug in the power adapter then an orange LED appears below the battery symbol.. No other activity happens.

I have already tried the remove the battery/adapter and hold power button down for 30 seconds but that did nothing to my computer.

Im not sure how to even do something like that.

Im pretty sure its not the monitor as the power button would light up when turing on the computer when working properly. Now that button doesn't light up at all..

The battery and adapter give the power to the motherboard but when you push the power button, the button does not turn on.
