My Blue Yeti is picking up all sounds and playing them through my headphones (Hyper X Cloud)

Hi all, I can't seem to seperate my Blue Yeti and Headset - the Yeti captures everything and plays it back through the headphones - keyboard sounds, drinking coffee (I drink quietly, not like a thisrty hippo, too!!!), etc.

So when I try and use it for streaming with OBS. the mic registers there but no sound comes through the mic channel, and everything comes through the desktop sounds channel instead.

In windows 10, I have the headset set as my default output device and the microphone as my default input - still doesn't work.

Help please!

Sound --> Recording --> (Your Mic) --> Properties --> Listen --> Uncheck Listen to this device.

Thanks Night Owl!. I've done that but now the mic doesn't pic up sounds at all.

Record a Message and see if you can hear that, sometimes the Bar in the settings does not work.

Thanks for getting back to me. It turned out that there was a privacy setting in windows that was making the mic not work with other apps. I changed that and now it seems to be working. Also - thank you for the advice about 'listen to this device' as that helped enormously! Have a great weekend mate!
