My brand new high spec laptop is really slow

My brand new high spec laptop is really slow. Videos on facebook and many sites are so slow and social media feeds and things take ages to load.

more like issue with internet then laptop.

@rgd1101 My internet and mbps are around 100mbps so I don't think it is an internet problem

@MusenMouse The specs are: Dell xps 15 9560 x64 based pc, Intel core i7-7700hq cpu @2.80ghz with 16gb ram. Windows 10 home edition.

Yeah that's a pretty new, high end laptop. Hmm, have you tried using a different browser to see if the issues you are having are web browser specific?

Yeah i don't think it is a browser problem

everything is slow? contact dell. or just return it

This could be overheating.
Or not all drivers installed.
While opening web browser i would right click and "run with high end nVidia processor" this will support your i7 processor with graphic card.
also there is a chance some program is running in background or computer is updating itself (downloading/ installing windows updates)

Pleas try to use different web browser like firefox/opera/chrome.

What else is running when you start it up?
Often, laptops come with a whole host of crapware that trips all over itself.

I have fixed the issue, i had an update i had missed.

What was the update I’m having the same problem with my desktop dell xps computer
