Question My computer can't run basic recording software

I bought this laptop to record videos with. I've been trying to use YouCam and an external webcam but every video comes out ridiculously choppy. When I looked at task manager, it's maxing out the cpu. Is there any way for me to be able to record videos with this laptop?

I can't see any way to get a laptop with specs so low to record good videos. You would need a laptop that is more 'robust' for such things.
