My computer is running windows 10, i plug in my headphones and speak into the voice recorder, i hear nothing. HELP PLS.

Well without knowing the actual device (make/model) there is no way for me to look up the specs. However here is some info that should help.

Have you checked to make sure the mic works on a different device? If not, then try that first before the following.


If there are two jacks (one input/mic and one output/headphone/speaker) then the headphones should work in the correct port, but the mic won't work if it is a single plug on the headset/mic.

If there is one port, it is going to be either ...

a. Output only (meaning only headphones/speakers work in it) or...
b. A combo one, input/output, which should allow for headsets with mics. However, they don't always work the way they should.

If it is output only, then you can't use a mic in it. If it is a combo one, then, as I said above, they don't always work so well.

A way to resolve this is to get a 3.5mm to USB adapter (they are really cheap) and connect through the USB port, which would allow for both headphones and mic.

So you are trying to use only the headphones to hear, but not use the mic that is attached to them? Or is it just headphones alone with no attached mic?
