My computer speaker is ok but when i plug in the headset its not working?what mu

My computer is ok when i play music for example the speaker working good but
when i used to plug in the headset its not working dont hear anything in audio
I dont know whats goin on when i use mostly the headset to my aunt computer
i dont know why its not working in my laptop everytime i plug in it so what must i do?
for it?

MAke sure the headset is set as the default audio device, otherwise the speakers will retain priority, even if a new headset is plugged in.
