My computer will not reset

On Tuesday, I started to reset my computer and this box came up that said "Error with reset" so I hit try again and the screen with 3 options continue, troubleshoot and a 3rd option I can't remember. I clicked on the continue option and it has been going to sleep and coming back on for hours. So I tried force cutting it off and that didn't work so I took out the battery and let it stay out for about 8 hours and it still continuing to do the same thing over and over. Maker hp and model number is 2000 - 2b09WM. I have had the laptop for almost 4 years

Hi,

Normally an HP laptop should have a built in Recovery image were you just need to hit F11 while the laptop is booting up but the condition for it to work is 1. it should be the original operating system when the laptop came in and 2. you haven't reformatted or did a clean install of a different operating system. If the Reset function which is I guess you're using Windows 10 is not working, the only way around it is to run a System Recovery disc that you can order from HP and that should reset your PC back to factory condition.
