hey guys,
I bought a new Dell 7559 2 weeks ago.
Is it normal that the fans are rarely on? Sometime the cpu heats up to 65 degrees Celsius (140 degree Fahrenheit) and they are still not on!!! They turn on only time to time for a short period of time (10-20 seconds). So I tried to download apps that modulate the fans rpm like Speedfan but it doesn't work on laptops... I have all the latest drivers and BIOS installed.

Thank you in advance for any answers

Hi,

As far as I know CPU fans should always be on and it shouldn't act like a radiator fans of a car wherein it only run at a certain temperature. It can be that you've mistakenly think that it's not running while it's on idle or in low usage. The fans' might just be throttling when in high usage like in games.
