My dv9000 won't turn on

When I press the power button, it goes as if to start up. All the lights come on, and I hear the fan kick on for about 10 seconds then it cuts out. All the lights stay on, but the screen never lights up and it stays this way until I either pull the battery out or hold the power but in to turn it off. How can I fix this?

I'm also having this problem with my dv9000 laptop. Hp won't do anything about this issue. Everything else is working except this problem. Is there anyway to fix it or get hp to stand by there products???
