Since I started crunching for the THGSeti Team, I've finally reached my 500th WU! Here are my stats:

The number of users who have this rank: 349
You have completed more work units than 94.479% of our users.
And how about that Avg CPU time per WU? 3:57:35.1 (Ok, no one really gives a darn about the fraction of a sec, but hey! this is my brag) Now I just have to do this all over again to reach the 1000 WU mark. Don't worry, I don't plan to post a brag for each 50 WU's done. Maybe I'll just post a note about jumping up in the ranks. All I need is 74 and I'll take 38th place in the THG team! Here is the link to the team stats page. I'm currently in 39th place.

Ok, just an update! I've now moved from 39th to 38th position in the team rankings. Better watch out Scout! I'm closing fast at 3hr55min and 4.07 WU/day! I think catching up to you is a good goal to set. Only because you replied the first time I posted my brag.

Don't take it the wrong way, but either you staying ahead of me or me catching up is a good thing since it helps the Team either way!
Edited by GearJammer2513 on 06/23/02 08:44 AM.

What speed RAM you running in that?? I have a Oced 1900+ with DDR 2100 and it's taking me about 4 hours. Mine should be a bit quicker I think

I take it you are reading the "instantaneous performance" reading? I've seen SetiSpy get that high when it starts a new WU or is just about done (98.xxx%). What is it averaging? Mine jumps around from 4.7x to 5.2x CpF's on the WU with an AR around 4.0x to 4.2x. I think someone here has a sig that reads 700MFlops in Seti. I should look around in the Seti files and see if it recordes fastest CpF's and highest MFlops. Would be interesting to take a look at.

Anyways, it looks like Berkeley's server is hicupping again with the team stats page. I've got 636WU's turned in, but the team page hasn't updated to show this. Still showing me with 630 and in 38th place.

Naw, that was average up to 4% done or something. I just had an instantaneous one of 915 right now. Pretty cool. It's usually really high right around 3% done, levels off, and then gets almost that high again at the end.

The seti server doesn't update automatically; it's only updated once a day.

I was under the impression that the server updated like every half-hour or something. I've seen my number change quite a few times when checking the Team page. Oh well, it's been updated and now I'm in 37th. I don't know who hywelj is, but he sure didn't want to give up that spot very easily. Well, I think a little 'in-team' competition is good since it just helps the team as a whole. Just checked today and we are in the 181st spot. So, at least THG is in the top 200.

Keep an eye on your 6 cuz I'll be sneaking up on ya sooner or later! (Probably a lot later with me crunchin' with one computer)

Up at the top of that page it says: "Note: the daily scripts..."

That's how I figured it was once a day.

(I think I may be able to keep my distance on you now... Those 6:42 wu averages were with my old Tbird 1gig. Now I just leave my AMD XP @ 1.70 GHz running 24/7  )

Keep an eye on your avg's and let me know what kind of numbers you are seeing. I just may upgrade my CPU to keep the competition going! I'll have to look into the fastest CPU I can upgrade to on my A7V266-E with BIOS ver 1007 final. Hopefully, I can just jump up to the latest chip AMD has put out w/o going to a different board.

Too bad that wasn't the average for the entire WU. That was pretty good timing to catch that screen shot! Now you are going to have me sit here and watch my SetiSpy when a new WU starts to see if I can catch something like that. The best I've seen so far has been 2.xx CpF's and 600 or so MegaFLOPs/sec.

Hehe, yeah, a 53 minute wu would have been schweet.
I just caught it when I re-started my computer. I usually see about 850 MFlops/sec at the start of wus, but this was the first time I'd seen over 1 GFlop/sec.

Well, it's hard to believe but I just hit the 700 mark! Looking at my first post, I hit the 500 mark back on June 8th. And now it's July 18th! hmmmm...I forget when I reached 600. Oh well. Guess I'll break out the ice tea and celebrate!

Here's to the next 300 WU's!!

Cheers,
GJ

Yes it is. The background for the 2500 unit certificate is a very large mesh dish and the 5000 unit looks like the Milky Way.

Had to stop for awhile during the summer since the room was getting too warm for the o/c'd cpu. CPU got over 58C when crunching, but now that the weather is getting cooler, I'm back up and crunchin' again.
