My first HP DV7-7063ea and my son stepped on the screen !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All,

I have the HP DV7-7063ea laptop and unfortunately my son has stepped on the screen (it looks like he was jumping on it !!).

Anyway, so the screen LCD has gone, it looks like:

Can anyone please advise me where I can get a replacement screen? The hinges have gone as well so they will need replacing.

I have seen screens on ebay "DV7 screen" but they dont say "7063a", can you please confirm that any DV7 screen will work ok?

Can anyone recommend a good place in the UK where I can get a replacement screen from?

best thing to do is look ay the back side of the LCD screen and look for the part number of the LCD.

then find it on ebay.

Also before you spend any money, connect the laptop to an external monitor and make sure the system works.
