Solved! My G633 logtech headset won't work in pc mode (connected by usb)

It appears as a playback device on my pc and works when I plug it in via 3.5 mm headphone jack but it doesn't register as being plugged in via usb.I've contacted logtech support and they told me it sounded like a driver issue,any ideas of how to fix this?

Did you install the driver/gaming software from here?

Set it to default playback device in windows sound

"Setup for PC (PC mode)

1. Download and install Logitech Gaming Software: www.logitech.com/support/g633
2. Set mode switch to PC.
3. Connect the G633 to PC via USB cable " (source: Logitech manual of the G633)
