Hi guys.

I have a Nvidia GTX 850M with 4 GB DDR3 vram, but it only uses 2GB, even though 2 or 4 DRR3 isn't much of a difference, I want to unload everything. Help please.

Got a Asus Rog G550JK.

It greatly depends on which game you are playing. (ASWELL as the resolution)

When you play on 1080p it might just use 2gb.

When playing on 1440p it can go upto 4gb.

It has a 'buffer' of 4GB (where that is mostly an overkill anyway on lower resolutions)

its not for you to decide. the vram used, is game dependant. i have played only 2 games to date, that had exceeded 2gb at max settings. call of duty ghosts and watch dogs! another thing to consider is that your mobile gpu isnt that strong to utilize all 4gb!
