My headset mic works but I can't hear audio out of it.

I have Plantronics and a single 3.5 mm adapter cable. I plug my headphone into the back of my computer. No audio comes out though. I got the computer like 5 days ago and its windows 10.

I have tried right clicking on the volume and clicking recording devices and playback devices, nothing works.

you mention a single cable adapter...
are you plugging in with TWO different 3.5mm plugs? one into the headphone (green normally) jack and one into the mic (pink normally) jack? if you're plugging just one cable in you will not get both
