Solved! My lap fan makes noise time to time

Hello! I'm having an issue with noise pollution,

Do you mean abnormal noise, like something is hitting, or it just gets louder sometimes?

If it gets louder, that might be normal or it might be a sign that the CPU or graphics are getting hot. Make sure you are not using the unit sitting on your pants or a blanket, where the intake vents for the cooler are blocked off. This is a common problem and usually results in irreversible thermal damage to the CPU or graphics card.

Other possibilities exist as well. If this is an older unit it may just be that the thermal paste between the CPU heatsink and CPU has dried out and hardened, and is not longer conducting heat away from the CPU as well as it used to or that the fan itself is getting weak and needs maximum RPM to keep the CPU within the proper thermal range.

In EITHER case, whether it is making abnormal noise or is just running faster than usual, it may be necessary to take it for service to repaste the heatsink or replace the fan. Disassembly of a laptop in order to gain access to that area which would need to be done in order to do either of these things is not for the inexperienced or faint of heart. It is a complex procedure and requires both skill and patience. Not recommended for anybody who is not familiar with these kinds of repairs.

Knowing more about what exactly it is doing would help, there might be other potential reasons for what you are hearing.

Dark thanks for the info..... I placed my water bottle near the air vent... Could it be the reason?

It rattling sound comes from time to time... To I need to visit the repair centre..... I did clean up the fan by disassembling it but not that much..

Although it is not likely to be the reason, putting water near your laptop is probably not ever a good idea. Too much chance of accidents happening.

As for the rattling sound, that seems more like something is broken or was not correctly reinstalled. Could be a failing fan bearing too allowing the fan blades of the cooler to chatter against the fan frame. Not much else in there that moves.

Probably a good idea. If this unit is still under warranty you might want to contact the manufacturer. If not, then yes, finding a reputable repair facility is likely a good idea.

I would get an estimate of labor and parts from them before allowing them to do any work though. It might make more financial sense to simply buy a newer unit and swap or clone your currently drive over so you don't lose anything. Repair services can sometimes exceed the cost of buying something better.
