My lapi is not working. .but I hve important data in it..can I change my hard drive into my friends lapi of same model

My laptop is not working. So I want to copy the data from my hard drive to my friends laptop who is having the same laptop. So will changing the hard drive will also effect my data or the operating system. .so what shoul I do..?

Hi there Adarsh sangam,

I guess you can try that. Though, it may not work. You will just get a blue screen and this should do no harm.
Another thing you can do is to just get a SATA to USB cable and attach your HDD externally. After that you can just access the files you want and back them up.
