I bought this laptop, recently, and I just can't seem to get it to play DVDs. Is there a driver I need to update, or something? I went to the ASUS website and looked at drivers, but couldn't find one for the DVD RW device, specifically.
I can hear the DVD player trying to play - it spins the disk, at least, so I know it's trying. I can hear the laser reader thing moving inside (or, at least I think that's what it is). Sometimes it makes weird sounds, depending on which DVD is inside.
I'm not a complete dunce with laptops, but I definitely don't know how to diagnose and repair problems.
Where do I start?
