My lenovo often restart when idle

Anyone pls help, i have this problem since the first time i bought this laptop,its lenovo g400, first i thought it was windows issue but when i changing to win7 or win8.1 64x, the problem still occur. It only happens when the computer idle, around 20mins less it will automatically restart. But when i running programs like game or movie player it never restart even when i left it for few days. Any clue where i should look this problem?

It sounds like you need to check your sleep mode. You can find this in "Control Panel" and then "Power Options". Next click on "Change plan settings", next to the plan you are using and on the following screen click "Change advanced power settings".

You should get a new window that lists all the different things that can be changed to restart, go to sleep, hibernate, turn off power to, etc. Check each item and make sure they are set to not turn the laptop off or restart it, unless of course it is when you do want it to do those things.

Sorry i gave u all misinformation, i mean by resart is went to BSoD. "Page_fault_in_nonpage_area". I did what you told me to and its still occur

I see. It could be caused by a few things. Both hardware and software. Now when this message came up, it should have also listed a driver or drivers that are part of the problem. That should help you narrow down what is part of the cause.
