My LG lcd led monitor is not working with dish tv which has hdmi port.

I bought LG lcd led monitor before 3 years. It is not working now with videocon d2h set top box which has hdmi port. Lg monitor has vga port. I tried hdmi to vga and vga to hdmi converters but it did not work either.

I tested vga port and it's working fine with my laptop. So, it is connecting to my laptop having vga port but not working with d2h set top box.

Any advice?

If the monitor has vga input and the settopbox has HDMI then you would need an HDMI to VGA converter (and not VGA to HDMI)

If this does not work then your monitor may not be able to display the 1080p resolution, check the owners manual before you purchase to make sure its compatible please.

I have LG E1942C LCD monitor. And I think it's resolution is ok.

Contact support for the VideoCon and see if theres a way to change the resolution it outputs.
