my Panasonic wont turn off with remote or manual plus has no picture.

my panasonic tv.1080,about 4 yrs old,just suddenly went on with a snapping sound,so the light stayed on and will not turn off on remote or manually.

Any end effects from unplugging, waiting, and replugging in the power?

Check the user manual and Panasonic's website. See if there is an end user replaceable fuse somewhere in your set.
